Position: Market Bar Manager
Location: Trinidad, CO
Compensation: $50,000 per year + based on experience

General Job Description:
The Market Bar Manager reports directly to the Kip Hampden Business Manager and Asst.
Business Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations by making sure it's clean, functioning efficiently and inviting for customers to relax in.
The Bar Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of Market Bar employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bar Operations
Ensure health, safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times
Coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed with maintenance manager
Bar Management
Adhere to all local liquor laws and regulations
Recruit, refer for hiring, and train staff to provide excellent service to all patrons
Create effective schedules and quickly resolve conflicts to ensure that bar is well staffed during peak hours and events
Diffuse tense situations between patrons or staff members to prevent possible safety or legal issues, ejecting unruly persons, if needed.
Report any and all incidents in writing to management
Handle customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner and report in writing to management
Responsible for proper cash handling procedures and accountability and training of bar staff.
Responsible for handling all deposits and security of funds on and off the premises.
Manage the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping current liquor license and certificates posted, being the point of contact for suppliers, taking inventory and reordering supplies, monitoring budgets and setting goals with management
Make sure all proper policies, procedures and safety protocols are followed
Keep bar stocked at all times with liquor, syrups, juices, garnishes, cups, napkins and all other necessary bar items
Ensure that all bar staff are following company policies regarding drink recipes, ingredients, and preparation methods
Develop and maintain a bar menu taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Make sure beer kegs and CO2 tanks are checked as well as keg lines for mold.
Clean when needed
Maintain a clean, clutter free and sanitary bar and customer area.
Make sure bar and custodial staff are cleaning upon customer exit.
Make sure ice machine and ice wells are free of mold or other debris, and clean as needed
Other related duties as assigned
Marketing & Entertainment
Schedule bar events and participate in Marketplace special events and entertainment; work with event coordinator, marketing, PR, promotional staff to generate community engagement and event attendance
Ensure and maintain updated bar tabletop advertisements and flyers
Advertise daily, weekly, monthly and event bar promos
Continually be looking for new and creative ways to increase bar sales and enhance the customer experience.
Drive sales through effective promotion planning and execution
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of three (3) years experience as a manager
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to work well with a team
Proficient in Facebook and social media promotions
Ability and willingness to learn new software and concepts
Knowledge of general bar equipment, beer taps, POS system, etc.
High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bar management experience
Customer service experience
